upto.family is run by 1001742567 Ontario Inc., operating as UPTO.FAMILY ("we"). Replying agree to one of our emails means you accept these terms.

What this is

A private way for a family to share updates. Members email or text us their news and photos, and we send the group one note each week.

Your group

The person who claims a name is its owner, and is responsible for who they add. Only add people who want to be added. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Don't post anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share.

What you post stays yours. You allow us to store it and send it to your group, and nothing more. We can remove anything, or close a group, if these terms are broken.

Text messages

Message type: you text us your updates and photos, and we send only account messages: one confirmation when you link your phone, and replies to HELP and STOP. Message frequency: we send a text only when one of those happens, usually one or two in total. Message & data rates may apply.

Consent. To link a phone, you text your email address to our number, then confirm with the link we email you. By doing that, you agree to receive these account messages from upto.family at that number.

Text HELP for help. Text STOP to stop: your phone is unlinked and we'll send it nothing more. You stay in your groups by email. For more, see our Privacy page.

Payment

Each group has a free 30-day trial, then costs $60 a year in US dollars, paid by the owner. Members pay nothing. You can cancel at any time, and the group keeps running to the end of the year you paid for. If a group stops paying, the Sunday note stops, and its posts and photos are deleted 12 months later.

The fine print

We work hard to keep this running and your family's words safe, but the service comes as it is, without guarantees, and email isn't perfect. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last year. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If they change in a way that matters, we'll tell owners by email.
